Happy Spaces

So, what do we mean by Happy Spaces? As we spend more and more time indoors the environments we inhabit have an increased impact on our wellbeing. We all know how badly designed, dark or cramped spaces can make our daily life more difficult or result in us feeling sad. Well, the idea behind creating Happy Spaces reverses that by aiming to design spaces that help us function as human beings, connects us with others and nature, and promotes a sense of wellbeing.

The interior spaces we live in are crucial parts of our lives so why not make them Happy Spaces. Here are some design phrases that might be worth looking up or thinking about as you design your spaces.

·      Sustainable Design

·      Human Centred Design

·      Planet Centred Design

·      Biophilic Design

These are all words used in the design world to think about different ways of making happier spaces. Maybe look out for them as you explore this site.
